Winning designs for the proposed Eastern Gateway to Historic Filipinotown selected after a five-year search led by HIFINC (Historic Filipinotown Neighborhood Council), created by the design team of Eliseo Art Silva and architect Celestino Geronimo. The final design will be culled from the submitted proposals and developed further in partnership with HiFiNC, CD-13 and City of LA Public Works Department. The completed E Gateway/ HiFi Welcome Arch will be unveiled May 7, 2022.

Designed with community via CD-13 District Office, City of Los Angeles, CA. The main features include the Filipino Dragon (Bakunawa) etched on both sides and the Barong Tagalog designs on the facade of the marker to honor the two golden ages of Filipino culture prior to Americanization of the Philippines.

Public Art honoring Larry Itliong at Island Pacific Supermarket in Fresno, CA.

20' x 250', Acrylic on Polytab, 2017. The first public art mural of the City of Colton, California. The design features eight tableaus of local history within the context of railroad tunnels as a nod to the area's moniker as "Hub City." It was painted by over 200 community residents on fabric sections of the mural, before it was permanently installed on site. It is the first of three underpass murals for the city.

"Pagtawid ng Karagatan: Crossing Ocean", 20' x 80', Acrylic on Polytab, 2018. Sponsored by the Lompoc Filipino-American Club to celebrate their 50th Anniversary, it commemorates 430 years of Filipino presence in the California Central Coast which began on October 18,1587 with the arrival of the legendary seven Luzon Indians (which is also depicted in the mural).

Temporary Art Installation honoring the life of Larry D. Itliong, sponsored by Pilipino Workers Center and through a grant from the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA). The paintings on circular baskets used for winnowing rice in the Philippines are original paintings by Maryrose Mendoza, Champoy Lim and Eliseo Art Silva. Silva proposed and conceived the entire project.

The first panel says, ‘manong’, and I separated it to ‘mano’, like respect,” said Silva. “And then the second one is 'kabayanihan’, with the ‘ka’, is about heroism, so that’s World War II. And then the third one is ‘kapwa’. Kapwa is shared being, and it talks about the idea of two different generations converging in 1965, the professionals with the old timers who were here before, and they converged to the Delano Grape Strike. All are written in Baybayin.

One 6' x 12' and three 6' x 6' canvases honoring 19th Century Philippine Masters in Fine Art designed to tell the Filipino American Story while contextualizing them with PH Cultural Treasures from the various regions of the Philippines.

Sponsored by Wide Open Walls (WOW), PNDA LahiArts, and California State University Sacramento. Entire mural was painted and completed within 10-days of the city-wide Wide Open Walls mural festival.

Itliong Memorial Library, Morningside School, Delano, CA The “main event” of the mural are the seven award-winning works created by the students at Morningside School. The children’s unbiased and pure vision on how to tell Larry Itliong’s story helped the artist narrow down the mural narrative. The tableau on the farthest right with Larry reading a book to a group of kids is where the mural design begins.
