Eliseo Art Silva
Silva's new solo exhibition examines and investigates the boundaries between barbarism/savagery vs. civilization/citizenship. Utilizing various artifacts from multiple cultures, the artist breathes new life into them through the process of palimpsest; creating layers and hybrids which reveal, conceal and imply new meanings, new worlds and new narratives. The artist begins by utilizing his own memories and/or personal photographs as a departure point.
